Natural wholegrain carbohydrates at the heart of each formulation. Oats,
barley, maize and wheat are naturally high in valuable carbohydrates and
when balanced with super fibers and oils create the ideal performance feed,
meeting the energy gap between the workload and what forages can provide.
Glucose is the ‘fuel' for muscles with 90% of a horses' total carbohydrate stores
being muscle glycogen. Glucose is used by every cell and is available as an energy
source when the horse is working both aerobically and anaerobically. Grains
naturally have a higher level of starch than forages and provide the necessary
glucose to fuel performance. Choosing natural high grade carbohydrate sources for performance is the key to
success. Connolly's RED MILLS performance feeds never contain industry by-
